I’m interested in reconstructing paleoclimatology and paleoceanography using various methods, particularly species assemblages and shell chemistry. I especially like to use stable isotopes and foraminifer species counts as proxys to reconstruct changes in ocean water temperature and the water masses during critical periods in earth history. My current research focuses on those periods that are characterized by short-lived shifts into greenhouse climate, in particular the MECO event, using benthic foraminifers.
